Kate initially joined the firm as a paralegal and later began her formal legal career at the firm in 2007, as a trainee solicitor. She made outstanding progress in litigation and property matters and rapidly progressed to become Head of the firm’s Litigation Department in February 2013, a Partner of the firm in April 2015 and more recently she was appointed as Deputy Managing Partner.
Kate is committed to bringing renewed vitality and vigour to the role, together with new ideas and ambitions for the firm. Kate said: ‘I am very proud of my history with Colemans and I am delighted to take on the challenge of growing the firm at this time. The legal services market in Maidenhead is now more competitive than ever and with the ongoing planned investment and development of Maidenhead, I believe that the sky is the limit for a firm of Colemans’ calibre. Michael Stone, who has been with Colemans for 35 years this year, and the Managing Partner for the last 12 years, is pleased to hand over the reins to Kate and said of her appointment: “Over the years, Kate has proven that she has made a significant contribution to the business through demonstrating an outstanding commitment to our clients, and to the growth of her practice and the wider firm. Her progression to Managing Partner serves as an example to all as to what can be achieved and the fact that the practice recognises and appreciates hard work and commitment.” Handing over the reins, means that Michael will have more time to concentrate on his commercial property work.
